Ric Testagrossa setting the "Lipstick Rocket" on the rail. This rocket is a 6" dia, 53" long, 8 lb fulled loaded rocket and it's distinctive shape comes from using a crab bouy as a nose cone.
Ric Testagrossa's rocket lifting off on a EX J500 sorbitol motor. Perfect flight to 2200 ft, with an easy recovery.
Ric Testagrossa's 3" dia, 59" long rocket going up on an EX I111 ammonium nitrate motor. This rocket is light, but still took a LOOONG time to get off the pad; it was a VERY slow liftoff, with most onlookers holding their breath. Extreme weathercock after liftoff, with max altitude only 430 ft, but perfect recovery.
